Crypto Long Short Ratio
The crowd is 62% long on the median coin, while whales hold 62% of their positions long. The crowd leans long on 431 pairs and short on 92.
The long/short ratio of all accounts on every Binance futures pair, next to where whales stand. Refreshed every minute.
Lists: pairs with more than $1M daily volume, coins listed for at least 10 days. Ratio: accounts with net longs divided by accounts with net shorts. Whales: the largest profitable traders on the pair. Gap: whales long share minus crowd long share. Positioning data, not a forecast.
How to read the long short ratio
- Above 1 means more accounts are long than short. It counts accounts, not money: one big short can outweigh thousands of small longs.
- Compare with whales. When the crowd is heavily long and whales are mostly short, the two sides disagree. The gap column shows how far apart they are.
- A one-sided crowd means many positions share the same liquidation zone. See where those levels sit on the liquidation heatmap.
What are long and short
A long is a bet that the price goes up. A short is a bet that it goes down. On futures you can open either one with leverage, and the long short ratio shows how traders split between them.
You buy BTC futures at $100,000. At $105,000 you are up 5%, with 10x leverage that is +50% on your margin. If the price falls, you lose.
You sell BTC futures at $100,000. If the price falls to $95,000 you earn 5%, with 10x leverage +50%. If it rises, you lose.
Questions
Which coins have the highest long short ratio right now?
On Binance futures the crowd is most long on STAR 5.33, SIREN 5.10, FIGHT 5.06, MYX 5.02, ESPORTS 4.99. The lowest ratios, where shorts outnumber longs, are on BTW 0.33, PROM 0.35, NIL 0.44. The table above updates every minute.
What is the long short ratio in crypto?
The number of accounts holding net long positions on a pair divided by the number holding net short positions. A ratio of 2.0 means two accounts are long for every one that is short. Binance publishes it for each futures pair; this page shows all pairs at once.
Is a high long short ratio bullish or bearish?
Neither on its own. A high ratio shows that most accounts bet on a rise, but it counts accounts, not money. A crowded side also means many stops and liquidations sit close together. That is why the page puts whale positioning next to the crowd: the gap shows when the two disagree.
What is the difference between the top trader ratio and this one?
The top trader long short ratio from Binance covers only the largest accounts by margin. The ratio on this page covers all accounts on the pair, the crowd. Next to it you see whales: the largest profitable traders and the share of their positions in longs.
How often is the data updated?
Every pair is re-read every few minutes and the page refreshes itself every minute. The 24h change compares the ratio with its value a day earlier.
Where does the data come from?
From Binance USDT-M futures: the long/short account ratio Binance publishes for each pair, and its smart money data for whales. PumpInfo collects and lines them up, nothing is estimated.
Whale positions with average entries are in the Crypto Whale Tracker, liquidation levels on the heatmap, the day's biggest moves in pumping coins today. Who pays funding on each pair is on the funding rates page.
